Joana Vasconcelos (Paris, 1971) is a Portuguese artist.
Lives and works in Lisbon and is part of the international circuit of contemporary art.
The artist's career. was set ultimately by holdings in the Venice Biennale in 2005, 2007 and 2012.
The representation in Echigo Tsumari Triennale, Japan, in 2006, the exhibit contamination in 2008, in Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, Brazil, or participation in important collective exhibition Un Certain Etat du Monde? A Selection of Works From Francois Pinault Foundation Collection, held at the Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture in Moscow in 2009, gave her a singular international career.
"Sem Rede", a large anthology presented in 2010, the Berardo Collection Museum, was a huge success with the public, establishing itself as the exhibition most visited ever, held in Portugal.
